The Opportunity

We are looking for creative, passionate and energetic individuals to support our governmental design, commercial clients, and program work as Architectural Project Manager. This individual will participate as a project team leader in pre-design, programming, design, construction documentation, and construction administration tasks. He/she will supervise and mentor other architectural project team members assuring delegated tasks are successfully performed and project adheres to client's needs, construction budgets, project schedules and quality standards.

The ideal candidate is resourceful and inquisitive, has a passion for great architecture, wants to help foster long-term client relationships through exemplary service, and believes that projects should be tailored to the client’s needs.

Specific job responsibilities are as follows:

  1. Develops project objectives, goals, scope, schedules, and fees by analyzing project requirements and collaborating with Marketing and Production Executives. Establishes and monitors detailed project plan from pre-design to completion by determining budgets, staffing and schedules including consultant and construction budgets. Achieves financial objectives by monitoring approved budget, scheduling and approving expenditures, analyzing variances, initiating corrective actions, and determining additional service requirements and initiating contract adjustments.
  2. Serves as primary contact and maintains cooperative efforts with owner representatives, consultants, sub-consultants, vendors, suppliers, and contractors, and ensures effective communication to project team for information and data affecting project completion.
  3. Coordinates owner requirements and approvals.
  4. Monitors and reviews project deliverables ensuring established schedules, goals and budgets are adhered to for architectural, interior, specifications, structural, civil, landscaping, mechanical, fire protection, plumbing and electrical design concepts. Identifies and manages performance issues including quality assurance and performance standards.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • A professional degree
  • NCARB Registration
  • Proficiency in design software including: REVIT, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Rhino
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members, clients, and reviewing authorities
  • Experience in all phases of design and construction administration
  • Flexibility for Travel
  • Experience within any or all of our sectors of practice, especially Public Architecture.
